The formula

HoneyBoost formula amounts: what is in each gummy and how it compares

Quick answer

The HoneyBoost formula is six extract and amino-acid rows plus zinc, with an amount printed for each. The extract rows add up to 75 mg a gummy (10 + 10 + 10 + 25 + 10 + 10), and zinc adds 2.5 mg. Nothing is hidden in a proprietary blend. Most amounts are far below doses used in studies.

Row by row

What are the HoneyBoost formula amounts?

Each gummy lists maca 10 mg, horny goat weed 10 mg, damiana 10 mg, tongkat ali 25 mg, mucuna 10 mg and L-arginine 10 mg, plus zinc 2.5 mg (HoneyBoost label).

The serving size is 1 gummy, which weighs 4.2 g. The bottle holds 30 gummies. The cards below show each row as printed. Tap one to see the extract ratio and what it is equivalent to.

  6. ZZinc & arginine2.5 mg zinc; 10 mg arginine per gummy

The extract rows of the Supplement Facts panel. Amounts are per gummy as printed on the label. Check the panel on your own bottle; if it differs, the bottle wins.

The ratios and the "equivalent to" lines are explained on the extract ratios page.

The total

Is HoneyBoost a 75 mg blend?

The six extract rows add up to 75 mg per gummy (10 + 10 + 10 + 25 + 10 + 10). With 2.5 mg of zinc, the active rows come to 77.5 mg.

A gummy weighs 4.2 g, or 4,200 mg. So the named rows are under 2% of the gummy by weight (77.5/4,200). The rest is sugar, corn syrup, water, pectin and the other ingredients.

It is not a "proprietary blend." That phrase usually means a total is printed without the amounts of each part. Here every row has its own number, which lets you do the arithmetic yourself. That is a fair point in the label's favor.

Label vs studies

How do the label amounts compare with studied doses?

Where a human study exists, it used much more than the gummy holds. Where none exists, there is nothing to compare, and the chart says "none found."

The bars use a log scale because the gaps are wide. Zinc is set against reference levels, not a study dose.

  • Maca (root equivalent)100 mg on the label

Studies: gelatinized maca 1,500 and 3,000 mg a day (12 weeks) and a maca extract at 2,400 mg a day; the label's 10 mg extract equals 100 mg of root (10 x 10). Studies used about 15 to 30 times the label amount. (Gonzales 2002, maca desire and T) (Zenico 2009, maca and mild ED)

  • Horny goat weed80 mg on the label

No human trial of horny goat weed extract at this dose was found; the reviews describe mostly cell and animal work. No human trial range found. (Niu 2022, icariin review) (Meng 2026, icariin and ED)

  • Damiana (leaf equivalent)50 mg on the label

No human trial of damiana alone was found; human data come only from herb blends. No human trial range found. (Szewczyk 2014, damiana)

  • Tongkat ali (extract)25 mg on the label

Studies: 200 mg a day of extract for one to three months in two open-label studies; the label's row is 25 mg of extract (equal to 2,500 mg root). Studies used about 8 times the label amount. (Tambi 2012, tongkat ali LOH) (Tambi 2010, tongkat ali fertility)

  • Mucuna (seed extract)10 mg on the label

Study: 5 g (5,000 mg) of seed powder a day for three months, uncontrolled; the label's row is 10 mg of an extract at 98% L-DOPA. Studies used about 500 times the label amount. (Shukla 2010, mucuna in men) (RIVM 2024, mucuna risk assessment)

  • L-arginine10 mg on the label

Studies: 1,500 to 5,000 mg a day in men with mild to moderate ED (10 trials) and 6 g a day in one trial. Studies used about 150 to 500 times the label amount. (Rhim 2019, arginine ED) (Menafra 2022, arginine ED)

  • Zinc (as gluconate)2.5 mg on the label

Reference levels: 11 mg a day recommended for men and 40 mg a day upper limit for adults (NIH); not study doses. A reference level, not a study dose: the label is 6% of the higher level. (NIH ODS, zinc) (Prasad 1996, zinc and T)

Log scale: each gridline is ten times the one before. Studied ranges are daily amounts from the trials linked on each row; rows marked as a reference show a reference level, not a study dose. A bar being far away does not mean the gummy is unsafe or useless; it means the study results cannot be borrowed for it, because none tested HoneyBoost or this combination.

No trial tested HoneyBoost or this combination, so these comparisons describe the label, not an outcome.

The numbers

What did studies use for each ingredient?

Studies of single ingredients used many times the amounts in one gummy, where a comparable dose exists at all.

Here are the gaps, with the arithmetic shown. "About" is used because the studied materials are not always the same as the label's: a powder in one study, a dry extract in another.

L-arginine10 mg1,500 to 5,000 mg a day in ten trials (Rhim 2019, arginine ED)Under 1% of 1,500 mg (10/1,500)
Zinc2.5 mg (23% DV)Reference levels: 11 mg a day recommended, 40 mg a day upper limit (NIH ODS, zinc)23% of 11 mg (2.5/11); about 6% of 40 mg

The maca trial enrolled men aged 21 to 56. The tongkat ali studies had no control group, and the mucuna study had 60 stressed, infertile men and no placebo group. None tested the gummy.

Serving size

What is the HoneyBoost dosage?

The panel's serving size is 1 gummy (4.2 g), and a bottle holds 30 servings. The wrap prints no suggested-use line, so the label gives no daily direction.

We will not write "take one gummy daily" as if the label said so. If you buy a bottle, follow the directions that come on it, and ask the order desk about use. A clinician or pharmacist should hear about it too, particularly if you take any medicine.

Medicines and urgent signs

Ask your doctor or pharmacist first if you take any prescription medicine, especially nitrates, erectile dysfunction drugs, blood pressure, Parkinson's, MAO-inhibitor, diabetes or blood-thinning medicines. Keep taking prescribed medicine. Chest pain, fainting or trouble breathing: call 911. A painful erection, or one lasting 4 hours or more, is an emergency: go to the emergency room.

Gaps

What does the formula not tell you?

The label is detailed about amounts and quiet about everything around them. Several facts a careful reader would want are not printed.

  • How much icariin is in the horny goat weed row.
  • Who measured the 98% L-DOPA figure in the mucuna row, and how.
  • The name of the manufacturer. The label names GEX Corp LLP, Florence, KY, only as the distributor.
  • Any lab report. The wrap prints “Lab Tested, No Artificial Additives”, and the panel lists artificial color. We cannot reconcile the two lines, and no lab report is on file.

Amounts on a gummy label can differ from what is inside. A 2023 JAMA study measured 25 melatonin gummies and found 74% to 347% of the labeled amount, with 88% off by more than 10% (Cohen 2023, gummy label accuracy). That was a different ingredient, not HoneyBoost, but it shows why a batch lab report matters.

What to do

How should you use this formula information?

Use it to ask better questions. The numbers show what is printed, not what the gummy does.

Erection problems and low sexual desire have many causes, including blood-vessel disease, diabetes and medicines (NIDDK, ED overview). Low testosterone is diagnosed with symptoms plus repeated morning blood tests (Endocrine Society testosterone). A supplement is not a way to find out, and it is not on the clinicians' treatment lists. A clinician can look for causes first.

FAQ

Formula questions

How much of each ingredient is in HoneyBoost?

Per gummy: maca extract 10 mg, horny goat weed extract 10 mg, damiana extract 10 mg, tongkat ali extract 25 mg, mucuna extract 10 mg, L-arginine 10 mg and zinc 2.5 mg. The six non-zinc rows total 75 mg. Every amount is printed.

Does HoneyBoost use a proprietary blend?

No. The panel prints a separate amount for every row, so nothing is hidden behind a blend total. What it does not print is the icariin content of the horny goat weed row or who verified the percentages.

Are the HoneyBoost amounts the same as the doses in studies?

No. Where a human study exists, it used more. Tongkat ali studies used 200 mg of extract against 25 mg here, and the maca root equivalent is about 7% of 1,500 mg. No trial tested HoneyBoost.

How many mg is one HoneyBoost gummy in total?

One gummy weighs 4.2 g, or 4,200 mg. The six extract rows are 75 mg and zinc is 2.5 mg, so the named active rows are 77.5 mg. The remainder is sugar, corn syrup, water and the other ingredients.

Does the label say how many gummies to take?

The panel gives a serving size of 1 gummy, but the wrap prints no suggested-use line. Follow the bottle's directions, ask the order desk, and speak with a clinician, especially if you take a prescription medicine.
